Every May, the same thing happens: the first warm weekend hits Santa Rosa and the regulars start asking for the pink one. This week, Sour Grapefruit officially returns to the board for its eighth summer.
What's in the glass this year
The base is the same kettle sour you know — clean, bright, sessionable. What's new is a Mosaic dry-hop that layers melon and berry over the grapefruit zest, plus a slightly softer acidity that makes the second glass dangerously easy.
The numbers
Melon & Mosaic hops, 60 IBU of perceived brightness, 7% ABV. Tart enough to wake you up, balanced enough for the whole afternoon.
The patio party
We're tapping the first keg Friday at 4pm with live bluegrass, a grapefruit-garnish bar, and $5 tasters all weekend. Crowlers and six-packs go on sale the same day — last year we sold out in six weeks, so don't sleep on it.
